Welcome!
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at University of California, Riverside.
I am on the job market during the 2026-2027 academic year.
My research focuses on applied microeconomics, with specializations in labor economics and the economics of education. I study human capital accumulation in educational settings, child and family well-being, and the effects of public policies. I use large-scale administrative data and causal inference methods to examine these topics.
My name, Zhuoyu Qiu (丘卓瑜), is pronounced “Jwo-yoo Chyo.” I also go by Rachel.
